A summarized description of the Antichrist is a charismatic, deceptive, blasphemous world leader empowered by Satan, who seeks global worship and persecutes believers before his ultimate defeat by Christ. Below I've generated a list of characteristics and the scriptures associated with each characteristic:
- Denies that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah). — 1 John 2:22
- Denies the Father and the Son (rejects core Christian doctrine about God and Christ). — 1 John 2:22
- Does not confess/acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh (denies the incarnation). — 1 John 4:2-3; 2 John 1:7
- Many "antichrists" have already come as a sign of the last hour, but the Antichrist is coming. — 1 John 2:18
